The squadron leader is decked out in blue with glaring red accents, RAF roundels, and distraction stripes. The hope is that this plane will be able to infiltrate the enemy formations and assist our fighters in defeating that enemy."

As a World War I history buff and aeroplane fanatic, I have always admired the Sopwith Camel. The first car that was truly mine was a brown 1993 Subaru Loyale. I had my SOPWTH plate commissioned for that car and my first RAF roundels. That was over six years ago! When I let the Camel finally die, the vehicle I replaced it with just didn't have the right character, so the SOPWTH plate gathered dust for a little over three years before being re-activated out of a determination to enjoy my custom plate, even if I didn't customize my car. Two months before the new plate was ready, I found out about the Versa and fell in love! I got my new plate just in time to give it to the Nissan dealer for my new Versa.

Once I got started working on the outside, everything just fell together on this car! I loved the blue color, and (IMHO) it looks great with the red accents and my roundels, and the dimensions of the car also work well with the roundels and propeller. I have painted everything on this car myself. I have taken it apart (with a little assistance, it's always good to have an extra pair of hands) and put it back together, and I'm so please with all the hard work I've done on it. So far I have painted the trim, painted the badges, placed the badges, painted the grills and fog blanks, painted the center console, placed my roundels and propellers, and tried to get the headlights apart. I plan on finishing up my car with some diagonal stripes, painted headlights, a CAI and catback exhaust, tanabe strut assemblies, a sway bar, painted calipers and drums, a custom headliner, window tint, and possibly a custom Glasscapes.

Bottom line: I love my car and want to have fun with it and my theme!!"
